The UAE will take part in the 2019 SelectUSA Investment Summit on June 10 – 12, 2019, Washington, D.C.
The UAE delegation includes Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade and Industry along with representatives of federal and local entities, private sector, and UAE International Investors Council.
Al Saleh said that the UAE and the US enjoy distinguished bilateral relations based on mutual trust and respect for common interests. “The UAE is the US’ top trade partner in the region, while the US is the UAE’s third largest trade partner in the world and third largest foreign investor in the UAE market,” he added.
The non-oil trade between the two countries posted a growth rate of 9.7 percent between 2013 to 2017, hitting US$20.5 billion in the first nine months of 2018.
The US investments in the UAE are estimated at US$ 5.2 billion, while UAE’s investments in the US markets stand at US$ 3 billion, he added.
