UAE handiwork evident in Egypt’s Al Alamein New City

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and President of Egypt Abdel Fatah el-Sisi today toured Al Alamein New City, northern Egypt, where they learned about the onsite progress of construction works across the new community’s high rises, and leisure districts, including luxury yacht marinas, slated for completion by mid- 2020.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed hailed as impressive the developments going at full tilt across the new coastal city and “their completion in a record time reflective of the significant transformational drive adopted by the Egyptian leadership to drive economic and tourist growth in the country.”

H.H. Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, Sultan Rashid Al Shamsi, Executive Director at Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, and Mohamed Al Abbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties.

Al Alamein New City, west of Alexandria, is located in a site named after a battle that took place during the Second World War (WWII 1942).The Egyptian Government selected a prestigious site on the north western coast to host the new city, which is expected to set a new benchmark, and a model for the new generation of sustainable cities in Egypt.
