H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received on Thursday the Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, before the two-day 46th session of the OIC’s Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) which will start in Abu Dhabi tomorrow.
The meeting addressed ways of propelling cooperation between the UAE and OIC, with the two sides reviewing the 46th CFM agenda and exchanging views over the latest developments in the region and a number of issues of common interest.
Sheikh Abdullah underlined the importance of the ministerial meeting which coincides with the OIC’s Golden Jubilee anniversary.
He doubled on the UAE’s support for the OIC’s efforts to underpin collaboration between the member states.
Al-Othaimeen commended the support provided by UAE to the OIC and its efforts to deliver its message and ensure cooperation across the Islamic world.
