UAE hands over Malaria drugs to Yemen

The United Arab Emirates has delivered a shipment of medicines to the Yemeni Ministry of Health. The shipment included medicines for treating chronic diseases as well as other medicines to combat the spread of malaria.

The move is part of the emergency response campaign launched by the UAE to relief flood victims in Aden, Lahj, and a number of Yemeni governorates.

The medicine shipment arrived in the port of Aden yesterday and was received by Mohammed Al Shehhi, Representative of the Emirates Red Crescent in Aden, as well as a number of Yemeni health officials.

Dr. Ali Al Walidi, Under-Secretary of the Yemeni Ministry of Health, expressed his thanks to the UAE for its support during this difficult circumstances in which Yemeni health facilities in various governorates is affected by heavy rains and floods that hit the area recently.
