The Levant News — A sigh of relief has been bestowed upon 50,174 Kuwaiti employees who work in private sector as Government has set to distributed 34 million KD among them ahead of Eid as a special social allowance, as reported by Manpower and Government Restructuring Program.
A sum of KD 11,000 (around $36,000) has been paid to jobseekers, KD 1.5 million ($4.9 million) to graduates and KD 43,700 (around $144,000) to school and university students, the program’s secretarygeneral Fawzy Al-Majdali said.
The program has made relevant lists of beneficiaries over the last couple of weeks, he added. In so doing, the program is seeking to support Kuwaiti young people working in the private sector in order to achieve the national goals of economic development and unemployment.
Such financial benefits reflect the State’s effective role in encouraging Kuwaiti young people and supporting their role in national development, Majdali pointed out. — KUNA
