A Palestinian was killed this morning by the Israeli army in Al-Samou village, south of Hebron.
Rateb el-Jbour, the Coordinator of the Popular Resistance Committee against the Wall and the Settlement in Yatta, said that clashes erupted in in the Al Semeya neighborhood between the Palestinian youth and the Israeli soldiers.
The IOF shot life ammunition, rubber bullets and tear gas, causing several injuries between the protesters. The Palestinians responded to the Israeli attacks throwing stones, empty bottles, fireworks and Molotov cocktails.
It was during the clashes when Ahmad Hamdan Al-Bdareen, 21 years old, was shot in his back with live ammunition. He fell to the ground and eyewitnesses report that the Israeli army kept him bleeding for over 40 minutes and prevented the Palestinian Ambulance to reach him. He bled to death and his body was transferred to a hospital in Yatta.
Badarin’s death is the first in the occupied West Bank since Israel’s assault on Gaza began.
