Injured UAE soldiers to be treated in Slovakia

The UAE and Slovakia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which Slovakia will receive Emirati soldiers injured in Yemen.
The MoU was signed by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Slovak Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Peter Pellegrini.

The agreement aims to enhance ties of friendship and cooperation that exemplifies their conviction of the importance of bilateral cooperation and strategic integration in the fight against terrorism. It also reflects both countries’ realisation of the danger of international terrorism that jeopardizes international security and peace.
Under the agreement, injured Emirati soldiers will be treated at Slovak hospitals and centres where they will receive rehabilitation and healthcare services.
