Hamas leading figures on Israel to-assassinate list

Ismail Haniyeh, a senior political leader of Hamas – the Islamic Resistance Movement – is, according to Maariv newspaper on Israel to-assassinate list.

On Wednesday the news organization published a picture of Haniyeh and 6 other Hamas leaders, claiming that Israel intends to eliminate them.

Hamas and its military wing, Al Qassam Brigade have long been a thorn in Israel’s thigh as they have systematically and categorically refused to engage in any political negotiation which would recognize the existence of Israel, an entity which Hamas warned it would never, ever agree to institutionalize.

Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, deputy chairman of Hamas political bureau, said in 2014 that “Hamas will not recognize Israel”, adding “this is a red line that cannot be crossed”

On the picture figures – Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas political leader, Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, Raed Al-Attar and Marwan Issa.

With Israel troops about to intensify their attack on Gaza, sources have alleged that Tel Aviv will attempt to eliminate all those which it feels represent a strategic threat to its agenda for the region.

Since Israel is keen to get in and get out of Gaza with minimal fuss as to avoid a dangerous enlisement and risk losing yet again to the enemy – Hezbollah’s victory in 2006 deeply humiliated Israel – it would intend to rely on surgical assassination hit to achieve its goals – thinning out the opposition

According to Yedioth Ahronoth – news site – Israel Council of Ministers has already discussed reverting to assassination attacks as a viable mean to assert its authority over the Palestinian people and render all acts of resistance useless.
