Dani Richa, the Chairman and CEO of BBDO’s regional operations, took home the honours of being the advertising person of the year at the annual Dubai Lynx awards for the best marketers, ad industry professionals and campaigns.
Du picked up the gong for being the advertiser of the year at the event held Wednesday evening. The operator has been a consistent presence on the advertising and marketing space and across all platforms.
Dubai Lynx handed out multiple awards, including those that identify young talents. “The Mena region continues to bring exciting creative ideas to life in novel ways,” said Jose Papa, Managing Director of Cannes Lions. “This year has shown us brands, with belief in their agencies, are embracing creativity and using technology to provide true value to consumers and shaping the culture they live in.”
TBWA Worldwide was named as the “network of the year”, while TBWA\RAAD in Dubai got the top billing in the agency sweepstakes. The media network of the year went to OMD Worldwide. According to the outgoing Chairman for Dubai Lynx, Terry Savage, “It’s inspiring to see the growth in bravery and belief in creativity across this region. Dubai Lynx is now in its 12th year and there have been massive developments in the world-class work coming out of the region.”
