Amnesty: Rebels, jihadists in Syria guilty of war crimes

The Levant News — A report issued today by Amnesty International accused rebels and jihadists in Syria of a “chilling wave of abductions, torture and summary killings.” The report names five anti-regime groups as guilty of war crimes: Al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra, Ahrar al-Sham, Nureddin Zinki, the Levant Front and Division 16. The findings are based on 24 accounts of abduction by the groups between 2012 and 2016 and five cases of torture.
