The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, QCC, has received a US trade delegation, headed by Joseph Tretler Jr., Vice President of International Policy at the American National Standards Institute.
The delegation included representatives of the American National Standards Institute, the American Petroleum Institute, the American Association of Mechanical Engineers, the Eaton Company, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, the International Code Council, the National Association of Electrical Manufacturers Association, Underwriters laboratories and the United States Department of Commerce.
The visit aims to acquaint American companies with the future visions of various UAE authorities and exchange views about the available opportunities for partnerships and cooperation. During the visit, several discussions o possible joint cooperation and exchange of expertise with American companies.
A detailed explanation about QCC was presented to the delegates covering strategy, services and various operational activities, in addition to a presentation of the Council’s vision to upgrade the quality infrastructure and contribute to empowering the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with international excellence. This comes in line with the Council’s mandate to promote a culture of quality, industrial development, competitiveness and consumer safety in line with the goals set by Abu Dhabi’s plan to build a sustainable and globally competitive economy.
At the end of the visit, the US trade delegation commended QCC’s services and its accomplishments in the quality and conformity sector.
